At completion students will be able to:
- Identify the Illustrator environment
- Use zoom tools, views and navigate around their artwork
- Create shapes, lines and use modifier keys and tool options to expand their choices
- Use a variety of selection tools to select single and groups of objects.
- Transform objects by using the scale, rotate, reflect, align and distribute functions
- Use layers
- Understand Colour Theory and create swatch libraries CMYK & Pantone
- Using the pen tool students will create bezier curves and be able to adjust anchor points
- Create type containers, select, recolour and apply typographic attributes to their artwork.
- Masking Type and Objects
- Compounds paths and Pathfinder
- Output to different file forrmats
